Fourth studio album by the Australian singer-songwriter Tame Impala (Kevin Parker). 'The Slow Rush' was recorded between Los Angeles and Parker's studio in his hometown of Fremantle, Australia. The album is Parker's deep dive into the oceans of time, conjuring the feeling of a lifetime in a lightning bolt, of major milestones whizzing by while you're looking at your phone, it's a paean to creation and destruction and the unending cycle of life.

I love this. Every track works, every track feels necessary and tackles big feelings about the future, nostalgia and the past, personal lyrics about Kevin Parker's relationship with his late father. This feels like an album that accomplishes everything it set out to do. Personally I have a little bit of trouble focusing on the lyrics on some tracks so I followed along on genius. It was hard to write a review at first so I just kept listening to this over and over, it's so light and catchy but full of meaning - this is such an easy album for me to love so I'm just going to. Standouts: Instant Destiny, Posthumous Forgiveness, Breathe Deeper, On Track, It Might Be Time To Face It, Glimmer, One More Hour
