Such was the Beatle's genius that 9 classics had to be omitted from this set - Fixing a Hole, She's leaving Home, When I'm 64, Mr Kite, Your Mother Should Know, Helter Skelter, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Ooh Darling - the most missed in my opinion were When I'm 64 and Helter Skelter. The weakest song of the 54 included in the 4 albums was Don't Let Me Down, followed by Revolution. The set choice was therefore more contentious than the red album for political reasons, omiting no fewer than 7 McCartney classics to make way for songs by the others, including Ringo. The first album of this double, covering the period 1967 - August 1968, Strawberry Fields to Hey Jude, is arguably the zenith of magic in pop or any other kind of music!
