Like the film, this doesn't really offer much new to those who are already fans of Velvet Underground. There's non-VU songs, VU studio songs, and live performances. The live performances have been available for a while. The studio performances have been available for... well, since 1967-70. The most interesting parts are the non-VU releases, including the proto-VU Primitives song. I wish (like I wished for the documentary) for more new material. Maybe some lost demos, live tracks that haven't already been compiled before. I get that if it doesn't exist, it doesn't exist, but then this whole soundtrack feels a bit pointless.
