This is a good album, the highlights are the singles plus a couple of other tracks. I much prefer their older stuff. I've found since Plastic beach they have been hit and miss, maybe even before that.
They have some great features on this album but the songs are only pretty good. Damon said he was trying to make a Pop album. So I think he succeeded in that, but I love the feature packed albums. Eg Humanz. Which I originally hated. I found I loved this album at first and just got bored of it quite quickly. There isn't much depth going on.
Still it's better than many bands could wish for.
I was a bit annoyed when they quickly released a deluxe album straight after as I ore ordered this months before it came out and refuse to buy it again.
Roll on the new blur album. Got that on pre order.
Albarn is a modern day legend and only when the music stops people will finally get the praise he deserves.
