Produced by Steve Lillywhite, the second album by this British band sounds more rocker and raw, making their membership in the post punk scheme more noticeable, with some darkness and the rough voice of Richard Butler that is perfectly combined with the typical saxophones in addition to John Ashton's guitars. Despite everything, the songs are clearer than ever, highlighting "No Tears", "Mr. Jones" and "Pretty in Pink", the greatest classic of their career in its original version.
