I like "Tonight's The Night" but have never really bought into the cult, though I understand why said cult exists (the reasons should be obvious to even a casual Neil fan so I won't even bother detailing them). I certainly wouldn't consider it among Neil's best albums but it does have its own unique charm. But as others have mentioned, this newly-released live set seems to stand as the definitive version (even though not every song is represented) and not just because the band is significantly less drunk then they were when they recorded the studio version. The spirits are high and everything falls together perfectly- man, that pedal steel sounds ******* great. Guess this shouldn't be much of a surprise since Neil's always been one of those artists who seems to be at his best in a live setting (as evidenced by his numerous killer live albums, particularly "Massey Hall" and "Cellar Door", which are my 2 favorite albums of his, period). Highly recommended to all Neil fans, especially big fans of the original album
