The compilation, under the motto "The Alternative Sound of a Decade", presents songs from the 80s, which are not necessarily found on every second sampler of the decade. At that time, these titles were not necessarily represented in the international top ten, but they represent just as - if not more intensely - the flair of the eighties. First of all, it is positive that the titles were really carefully selected and put together. From new wave and punk to acid and freestyle to typical pop, pearls and classics from the multi-layered and colorful decade can be found here. Just as typical are the so-called "dropouts" that pretty much every compilation suffers from, because you never manage to please every listener with every song. That is negligible here too. It was pressed on black vinyl - clean, with no residue or sharp edges. The cover doesn't reveal much information, and the simple white inlays don't make a good impression either - if you want to avoid microscratches, you can quickly place the panes in more suitable lined inlays. Conclusion: A successful, inexpensive and high quality compilation of alternative 80s songs.
