Yeah ... I love Depeche Mode. Of course there are songs that I hear more often and titles that only occasionally echo through the speakers or headphones.
Even if DM created timeless classics in their initial phase, which should not be missing at any concert or DM party. The music gods only really developed from the supposedly happy-sounding synth pop with the album Some Great Reward. DM changed not only visually back then. The sound became darker and the soundscape of the songs more diverse. People Are People, Master And Servant or blasphemous rumors are evidence of this. Those tracks from the album that were released as singles at the time can be found in the 12 "Vinyl Singles Collection.
Was it necessary to re-launch the singles that had once been released? The fan base doesn't agree on that. In any case, for me it is a stylish collection. It's probably just about having the optically coordinated box sets of the singles from all previous DM albums. And so I am happy to be able to expand the existing collection piece by piece.
After the singles collection of the best album SOFAD was released in 2020, I'm waiting for the ULTRA box to be released.
